Plants With A Purpose - Rescuing Siblings Rango and Turbo (Furballs Saved To Date: 41)
May 13, 2022 - Rescue Mission #11
389 miles
Once we dropped off Jimmy & Wyatt (Weimaraners) at Merced airport, we then flew to Porterville airport to pick up two Great Pyrenees/Husky mix puppies (4.5 months and 50 lbs each) that were surrendered by their owner to a foster home in San Diego. These puppies (Rango & Turbo) were so scared, they couldn't walk at all! We had to literally carry them everywhere, as they would just flop on the ground and would refuse to move. Despite being scared to death, these two male siblings were the SWEETEST dogs we have ever met. Not a single bone of violence in them. It just broke our hearts seeing them in their condition. Who knows what kind of environment they were exposed to, but they are now safe in their new foster home playing with other dogs. Lisa from Grandma Betty's Animal Rescue in San Diego has taken these sweet souls and is caring for them until they can get adopted.
We’d like to thank all of you who supported our plant sales and contributed to our flight fund. We’d also like to thank the volunteers at Pilots N Paws. We simply couldn’t have done this without you!
If you would like to help contribute to this rescue mission or any future ones, please go to our flight fund donations page HERE to donate (and THANK YOU!!).
We just wanna plant stuff & rescue dogs.
