May 13, 2022 - Rescue Mission #10

Jimmy & Wyatt (Weimaraners) were surrendered by their owner due to various issues. We flew from San Diego’s Montgomery Field to French Valley (Murrieta/Temecula) airport to pick them up with wheels up no later than 7:00 am. Wyatt (light colored Weimaraner) was severely neglected and kept in a tiny backyard with no human interaction. Jimmy (dark colored Weimaraner) was found starving on the streets as a stray. Once taken in by the rescue, Jimmy was on Prozac for separation anxiety. Wyatt became Jimmy’s therapy dog, so the two quickly became inseparable. It was crucial to keep them together during the adoption process. 

We picked up the two boys from Murrieta/Temecula airport and flew them to Merced airport, where they were met by two wonderful dog parents ready to adopt them and take them to their furever home. Wyatt & Jimmy have since acclimated well to their new home environment and we’re wishing them nothing but full bellies, long walks, and lots of human interaction!

Our dear friend Deborah Thompson (who we've known for over 7 years) was gracious enough to coordinate the transfer of these sweet boys as part of her organization "California Weimaraner Education and Rescue" (CalWEAR).  Thanks for all you do Deb - from the bottom of our hearts!!
